The State Significant Development Application (SSDA) and supporting Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Powerhouse Museum Ultimo Revitalisation is now on public exhibition until Thursday 30 May 2024.

Powerhouse Museum, Ultimo takes the next step towards transformation with the first stage of planning consent granted to enable the renewal of the iconic museum.  

Powerhouse has released it's inaugural Climate Action Plan 2022 - 2025, which sets out 12 key objectives encompassing infrastructure, programs and operations across the museum’s four sites, including the ambitious target of achieving net zero operational carbon emissions by 2025.

Powerhouse Ultimo is set to undergo a transformation that will celebrate the best of its past within innovative exhibition and educational spaces, following the announcement of the winning architectural design for its renewal.
