Main Works in full momentum

The project has reached an exciting new phase transitioning from site preparation to active construction.

In April, the project’s first structural steel beam was installed in the existing Heritage Halls as part of the heritage strengthening works, providing an early glimpse of the transformation underway. Fabricated locally in Rydalmere, the heritage steel package is already supporting local industry while helping preserve the site’s important heritage features.

At the same time, the first trades have commenced work on site, with around 80 workers currently contributing to activities across the precinct. The project is now preparing for its first concrete pour in the Gathering Terrace zone - a key milestone that will establish a temporary slab enabling site access, a driveway, turntable, and material handling and laydown areas. The pour will

  •        Involve approximately 480m³ of concrete over one day
  •        Be supported by a single pump and around 20 concrete trucks,
  •        Require a crew of around 10 workers to coordinate the operation.

Approximately 4,100m³ of material has been removed to date, with around 90% diverted from landfill through recycling and reuse initiatives.
