Gathering Terrace takes shape with first concrete pour complete

Construction at Powerhouse Ultimo has reached an important milestone, with the first concrete slab pour completed within the new Gathering Terrace. 

This marks the transition from early site works to the next phase of construction, supporting the broader revitalisation of the museum. 

This new 2,000sqm public domain space will serve as a welcoming entry to the museum. Designed for versatility, it will provide a green space for the local community while also supporting museum event programming and enabling the loading of large objects into the Boiler House and Turbine Hall.
