The NSW Government are revitalising Powerhouse Ultimo
The revitalisation will provide world-class exhibition spaces focused on the applied arts and sciences, and a major new public domain. It will reorient the museum entrance to The Goods Line, maximising use of the pedestrian link and improving access to public transport. The form and scale of the Wran building will be retained, and original heritage features across the museum will be revealed.
Project status
Richard Crookes Constructions commenced main works in March 2026.
