New hoarding artwork celebrates Powerhouse Collection

New artwork has been installed along the Harris Street frontage of the Powerhouse Ultimo site, transforming the construction hoarding into a visual celebration of the Powerhouse Collection.

The design features a curated series of photographs showcasing significant and iconic items from the Powerhouse’s vast collection of more than 500,000 objects. The installation brings elements of the museum’s cultural heritage directly to the streetscape, offering the community a glimpse into the stories and objects that will continue to be preserved and showcased upon the museums re-opening.

The hoarding artwork is part of a broader City of Sydney initiative aimed at improving the visual impacts of construction sites, and fostering a connection between the project and community.
