The NSW Government are revitalising the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo
The revitalisation will provide world-class exhibitions spaces focused on applied arts and sciences, and a major new public domain. It will reorient the museum entrance to The Goods Line, maximising use of the pedestrian link and improving access to public transport. The form and scale of the Wran building will be retained, and original heritage features across the museum will be revealed.
Project status
Early works being undertaken by DECC. Mod 1 determined on 14 November 2025.
